An Albany man who robbed a maintenance worker at gunpoint is headed to state prison. The Albany County District Attorney’s Office said Brian Briggs, 33, was sentenced to 24 years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision after a jury found him guilty in February of first-degree robbery and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
