WASHINGTON (7News) — The Metropolitan Police Department's Special Victims Unit is investigating the death of a newborn baby found in Northeast D.C. on Sunday morning. MPD officials said around 8:42 a.m., 6th District officers responded to the 300 block of 40th Street, Northeast, for a report of an infant death.
