A heavy law-enforcement surge rolled into the Ellenwood area of Clayton County on Thursday afternoon, with a line of patrol cars and Georgia state troopers crowding a neighborhood intersection. A police helicopter circled overhead while officers clustered near the crossing. Officials had not released any information about what triggered the response by the time early reports surfaced.
