AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A man pleaded guilty in Augusta federal court to trying to defraud the government of millions of dollars in a COVID benefits scheme. Dantavious Jackson, 39, of Union City, pleaded guilty to mail fraud, said Tara M. Lyons, Acting U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia.
