Charges dropped against man once accused of murder in University City neighborhood
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - The charges against a man once accused of a shooting at a University City sports bar have been dropped. Anthony Murry Alexander was arrested in April 2025 and charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a felon. Those charges were dismissed in January 2026 due to insufficient evidence.
