Woman Charged With Theft Of Identity In Hopkinsville
A Hopkinsville woman was charged with theft of identity and drug possession on West 1st Street on Monday afternoon. Hopkinsville Police say they stopped 41-year-old Christina Brison and another woman who were walking on the wrong side of the road, and Brison used someone else’s information instead of her own to identify herself.
Medical Issue Led To Charges For Guthrie Woman
A Guthrie woman was charged after she tried to drive away after a medical problem on Amanda Drive in Hopkinsville on Sunday morning. Hopkinsville Police say they were called for 23-year-old Yasmine Smith, who had a seizure, was refusing to talk with EMS, was trying to fight with bystanders, and tried to pull away several times, driving towards people.

Gov. Beshear releases $52M for rural Kentucky water systems
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WEVV) -- Gov. Andy Beshear signed legislation releasing more than $52 million to improve water systems across rural Kentucky, with nearly $26 million designated for Martin County. House Joint Resolution 81 will fund improvements in Martin County, the cities of Elkhorn, Evarts, Liberty, Martin, Oak Grove and Smithland, as well as the Southern Water and Sewer District in McDowell.
