COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A Columbus man has been sentenced to six years in prison for shooting and killing his girlfriend, a punishment the victim's mother called "not fair." Gage Smith called Columbus Police in January 2025 and told them he was “responsible for his girlfriend’s death.”
