Man injured in shooting involving deputy pleads guilty, gets 3 years
WELD COUNTY, Colo. — A man who was shot by a Weld County Sheriff's Office deputy after firing a gun in October 2024 was sentenced to three years in prison Thursday. Joe Sanchez, 20, pleaded guilty to three counts of felony menacing- real/simulated weapon and was immediately sentenced, according to court documents. He received three years for each count to be served concurrently.
