TEMPE, Ariz. — A 20-year veteran with Tempe Fire Medical Rescue died Friday morning after an ongoing battle with Glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer, according to the city's fire department. John Garza, whose last assignment was on Engine 273 at Station 3, died at the age of 52.
