Testimony: Teen was shot to death minutes after phone call with mother
GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Shortly after midnight, 16-year-old Cahari Walton called his mother to let her know he was running late. Cahari never made it home that night. KENT COUNTY, Mich. — The Kent County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) reported Monday that during severe weather, a man was killed near Cedar Springs. KCSO said a tree fell near the intersection of Tisdale Ave and 16 Mile Rd NE. The tree fell on top of a 39-year-old man, who ultimately died from his injuries.
