GARDEN GROVE, CA — The Garden Grove Police Department, in collaboration with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and the San Bernardino County Social Services Special Investigations Unit, recently concluded a two-day joint operation targeting organized Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) fraud. The operation focused on activities associated with transnational criminal organizations.

At approximately 10:00 a.m. on April 14, 2026, deputies encountered a man during routine patrol in the 7300 block of Syracuse Avenue in Stanton. When deputies approached, the man fled and climbed onto the roof of a residence, where he remained for several hours.
