Jersey City firefighters fight fire on barge
The Jersey City Fire Department responded to a barge fire Wednesday at One Linden Avenue East. Firefighters encountered the fire on a barge filled with cardboard. To contain the fire, responders offloaded the barge into individual piles before extinguishing them. There were no injuries reported Wednesday afternoon.
