Kalamazoo County shelter nearing capacity, young children accounting for 75% of intakes
KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — Unhoused families seeking shelter in Kalamazoo County are turning to the Landing Place for help, but the shelter is nearing capacity. There are currently 208 people staying at the family transitional housing shelter, 158 of which are young children who account for 75% of intakes.
