MADISON, Wis. -- A vehicle is considered a total loss after it caught on fire, causing all southbound lanes in the area of Cottage Grove Road and South Stoughton Road near US 51 to shut down for approximately an hour-and-a-half on Wednesday, according to the Madison Fire Department.
