Gunfire shattered a quiet Sunday night in West Allis when shots rang out near S. 59th Street and W. Burnham Street, sending neighbors to their phones and police racing to the scene. Several residents called 911 around 9 p.m., and officers arriving in the area found shell casings on the ground. Police said there were no reports of anyone being struck by gunfire.
