At least two people were killed in a high-speed crash in The Gulch neighborhood of Nashville early Friday morning.

Jody Vann and his wife Ginger Vann live in the River Road area in Ashland City. Jody told News 2 the water from the Cumberland River came dangerously close to their house. He said emergency responders have tried to reduce water levels before forecasted rain moves into the area.

Based off the way some of the dams along the Cumberland River were constructed, many won't be able to hold back much water this weekend.

Stranded cars were found submerged in this parking lot in Nashville, Tennessee, in the midst of severe flash flooding on April 3. One local described it as the worst flooding he's seen in 25 years.
