A Bayonne woman has been indicted for defrauding immigrants out of over $25,000 by posing as a federal agent, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr. announced. Edith Capellan, 54, of Bayonne, is charged via a New York State Supreme Court indictment with grand larceny, immigrant assistant services fraud, and participating in a scheme to defraud, authorities said.
