A 19-year-old motorcyclist died Sunday after losing control of his bike and crashing into a wall on Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia, according to police. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The collision happened near the Ridge Avenue ramp and is now the focus of an active police investigation.

Due to the severity of the accident, Route 1 North was completely shut down to all traffic.
