PROVIDENCE, R.I (WPRI) — Providence city leaders offered a helping hand to residents ahead of the storm by offering them free road salt Saturday. Those who live in the city were able to bring their own five-gallon bucket to pick up salt at 30 Shipyard Street during the morning and early afternoon.
