Giles County man arrested for allegedly importing psychedelics, selling on VT’s campus

ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) — A Giles County man has been arrested after allegedly importing psychedelics from Brazil into Virginia and selling them on the campus of Virginia Tech. 28-year-old Charles Herman Aardema III, of Ripplemead, was arrested on charges of attempting to possess with intent to distribute dimethyltryptamine (DMT) and distributing lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), according to a federal criminal complaint.
