Remembering Ray Hartmann, the only two-time Maneater Editor-in-Chief
Ray Hartmann, a 1974 Missouri School of Journalism graduate with an award-winning journalism career that spanned nearly five decades, passed away at 73 on Thursday. Ray served as the Editor-in-Chief of Mizzou’s student newspaper, The Maneater, from 1972-1974. He is the only Editor-in-Chief to serve two consecutive full terms in the publication’s seven-decade history.
Belleville man faces charges after starting small fire inside Kirkwood church, police say
KIRKWOOD, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A Belleville man faces two felony charges after the Kirkwood Police Department said he started a fire in a church. Cole Mezyk, 25, faces charges of knowingly burning or exploding and of second-degree burglary. Charging documents say Mezyk is also a suspect in three other fires in Illinois between April 9 and April 13.
