A man was taken into custody after the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said he left a dog inside a hot truck, resulting in the animal’s death.
Bridge removal to close lanes of I-5 in Salem June 22-24
Bridge work south of Salem will close lanes on both the northbound and southbound sides of Interstate 5 from June 21-24. The overnight closures begin June 21, with short closures, and from June 22-24, the interstate will be closed to northbound and southbound traffic from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. between exits 252 and exit 24
Dangerous tree on Clark Path is sawn off
Just to follow up: The low tree I ran into on Albany’s Dave Clark Path on Wednesday evening is gone. The tree, or thick branch or limb, was hanging over the low point of the path near Sherman Street. On a bike ride Wednesday evening, my helmeted head slammed into it at what I guess was about 10 miles per hour.
