SAN ANTONIO — A man was taken into custody Thursday afternoon after police say he assaulted both an Uber driver and an SAPD officer just northwest of downtown. According to SAPD, officers were dispatched around 2:30 p.m. to the 5000 block of the NW Loop 410 Access Road for a report of an assault in progress.

After the man 'became sick' during an Uber ride, he refused to get out and allegedly assaulted the driver and a responding officer, San Antonio police said.
