Smoldering piles and collapsed walls lie where people's homes stood before the weekend in Spokane. The Spokane Area Fires, comprising three large wildfires, have burned more than 8,000 acres as of Monday morning and are still uncontained.

Twenty-six drones have flown into restricted airspace over Spokane County wildfires since Saturday, grounding helicopters and air tankers each time — while more than 7,000 acres burn with zero percent containment.

Wildfires continue to rage across parts of Eastern Washington, forcing thousands of residents to evacuate. FOX 13's Shawn Chitnis is in Spokane County with the latest wildfire update.
