A beautiful day is underway with abundant sunshine and warmer temperatures than Monday. Afternoon highs will climb into the mid-80s around Edgar Springs and the lower 90s in far western Missouri and Arkansas, putting Springfield and Harrison right around 90°.

Scattered rain provided some relief to Southwest Missouri and Northern Arkansas before warm temperatures and potential thunderstorms arrive Wednesday, followed by clear skies Thursday and Friday and a return to heat over the weekend.
