At about 9:31 a.m., officers were called to help with a “disorderly medical transport” on West 7th Avenue and Washington Street. Hoffmeyer, 51, of St. Louis, was killed after being held prisoner of war (POW) on the Enoura Maru, a ship that was en route to Taiwan.
