MODESTO, Calif. — Around 4:02 a.m. on Monday, Modesto Fire crews responded to the area of 12th and I Street after a person was discovered inside a garbage truck. According to Modesto Fire, Engine 1, Truck 1, and Battalion Chief 1 were called to the scene. Crews began investigating after reports that a person had been detected inside the truck’s cargo area.
