Madison County Man Pleads Guilty to Stealing From Nearly 1,000 Investors
WAMPSVILLE, N.Y. -- A Madison County tax preparer and insurance agent admitted to running a Ponzi scheme that stole more than $50 million from nearly 1,000 investors. According to the New York Attorney General’s Office, Miles Burton Marshall pleaded guilty to multiple charges after convincing clients to invest millions in his so-called “Eight Percent Fund” from the early 1990s through March 2023.
