Wildfires exceed 1 million acres burned in Oregon/Washington. Warming up a bit Thursday/Friday, but mainly staying mild. Wildfires continue to burn out of control east of the Cascades with the low humidity and gusty winds. Eight new large fires have been reported since Friday. Northeast Oregon (specifically La Grande)

Haiden Deegan (2:08.222) posted the fastest time in the first qualification session for the Washougal (Wash.) National in Round 25 of the SuperMotocross Championship. His time held up for the fastest overall. Deegan was second-fastest in Q2, 1.4 seconds slower than Jett Lawrence. Jett was fastest in the second session.
