First responders were called out to the area of East 19th Street North and North Frederic Circle just before 11:30 a.m. for the report of a possible drowning.

The shooting started as the result of a fight among 5 teenage boys. Two of the victims were hospitalized in critical but stable condition. The shooter was arrested on two counts of attempted murder.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A Wichita woman, battling stage 4 breast cancer, is running a roadside bakery to help pay for life-saving medication. Over three years ago, Jennifer Gordy was diagnosed with breast cancer. Gordy had a double mastectomy, and it seemed to be the end of her cancer treatment.

Both men are scheduled to make their initial court appearances Monday before a U.S. Magistrate Judge. Wichita Police, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office and federal authorities are investigating.
