Downed wires led to a disabled train with passengers on board and impacted service on SEPTA's Media/Wawa regional rail line Monday evening. The train was stopped near 49th Street. A passenger told NBC10 the wires "electrified" the train. SEPTA said shuttle buses were sent to the location to assist the riders who remain on board.

Suspicious envelope to Wilmington office of Congresswoman McBride intercepted
Congresswoman Sarah McBride said Monday that a suspicious letter containing an unknown substance was intercepted while it was en route to her Wilmington office Friday. McBride said on social media that her office learned about the incoming letter late Friday. She added that "thanks to the proactive efforts of the Wilmington Police Department and U.S. Capitol Police, my staff is safe."

Wilmington firefighters extinguished a basement fire Sunday morning in the 500 block of South Van Buren Street, bringing it under control within 15 minutes. Firefighters were dispatched at approximately 5 a.m. and arrived to find smoke coming from a two-story row home. Firefighters quickly contained the basement fire, limiting damage to the residence where it started.

Wilmington firefighters on the C Platoon were dispatched to the 500 block of South Van Buren Street at approximately 5 a.m. Sunday after reports of a structure fire, arriving to find smoke pouring from a two-story row dwelling. Crews pushed into the basement, where they located and extinguished the fire.
