CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A city program is helping make homeownership more accessible as the housing market remains challenging for buyers.
The ROOTS program launched after the 2008 flood and was renewed following the 2020 derecho. The program builds brand-new single-family homes valued up to $175,000, and eligible homeowners qualify for up to $35,000 in down payment assistance.
