IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – An 18-year-old has been sentenced to 10 years in prison in connection to a shooting last year and a 2024 stabbing at West High.
Moayed Elsid, from Iowa City, was sentenced Monday on multiple charges from the two separate cases.
In regards to the August 2025 shooting, a jury convicted Elsid in April on charges of simple assault and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was originally charged with attempted murder. Three people were injured from the shooting…
