More rain is in the forecast for this week with a chance of thunderstorms on Wednesday night.
According to the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities, on Wednesday, showers are likely, and there is a possibility for a thunderstorm mainly after 4 p.m. They have set a level three out of five for an advisory for the area for some potentially severe thunderstorms. The chance of precipitation on Wednesday night is 90%, with new rainfall amounts between one-half and three-quarters of an inch possible. Hot and humid conditions are expected today into Wednesday, with the potential for heat indices over 100 degrees.
A flood watch was issued through Monday evening by the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities for the entire KCII listening area. This came after heavy rainfall over the weekend for much of the area, including a reading of over two inches for Washington on Friday and just over one inch on Sunday.
