Iowa City delays planned water pressure increase for northeast service area

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Residents and businesses in northeast Iowa City will have to wait longer for a planned increase in water pressure.

The City of Iowa City said its Water Division recently began increasing water pressure in the northeast service area, but testing showed additional infrastructure improvements are needed before the change can move forward.

As a result, the pressure increase has been delayed until after planned upgrades to the Ground Storage Reservoir are completed next year…
