While Cranky Hank’s Pizza Bank is a new lunch destination for us in terms of location, the restaurant is actually not new to Brain. He and Steele did Listener Lunch at the Cranky Hank’s that used to be inside of Lindale Mall in Cedar Rapids, which was long before I joined the show in 2014. I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant until recently!
Cranky Hank’s specialty is Quad Cities-style pizza, which is round pizza cut into strips instead of slices. To me, it looks similar to an order of breadsticks. The pizzas come with all sorts of different topping combinations, including specialty options like Krabby Rangoon, Mac & Cheese, Loaded Potato, Dill Dough, Reuben, and Garlic Chicken. I’ve only had the chance to try a couple of the breakfast pizzas, so I’m looking forward to exploring the menu!
