A new dining option is “coming soon” to the Corridor! Oh My Grill Halal Mediterranean Grillannounced this week that they are set to open a location in Cedar Rapids this summer!
About Oh My Grill
Oh My Grill first opened at 2020 College St in Cedar Falls in the spring of 2019 as a burger joint. Over the next five years, the restaurant became well known for its elaborate burgers, loaded fries, and delicious milkshakes.
Then, in the spring of 2025, Oh My Grill surprised everyone when they announced on social media that they were switching up the restaurant’s concept. They traded in their signature burgers for a menu centered around Mediterranean dishes. According to an article from the Cedar Falls News Hub, the switch-up at Oh My Grill was necessary for several reasons. The article reports:
“The change addressed several challenges the space posed. Char-grilling thick burger patties created considerable smoke, placing pressure on the building’s ventilation system. Each burger could also require about 15 minutes to prepare, which did not always fit the busy schedules of nearby students and instructors moving between classes.”
Now known as Oh My Grill Halal Mediterranean Grill, the College Hill restaurant serves dishes like gyros, falafel, shawarma, tandoori chicken, baklava, tabbouleh, and more.
Oh My Grill Cedar Rapids
According to the announcement on their Facebook page, Oh My Grill Halal Mediterranean Grill is getting ready to open their first location outside of the Cedar Valley! The new restaurant will be located at 500 Blairs Ferry Rd in Cedar Rapids, which is in the Blairs Place Plaza near C Ave. The post reads:
