ATKINS, Iowa — About 75 homes in Atkins are without water service after a significant water main break near 415 First St., according to the city.
In a Facebook update Wednesday night, city officials said the water department was unable to reduce the flow enough to keep water service running in the affected area while also maintaining enough pressure and storage in the city’s water tower.
