Police activity in northeast Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — A large police presence in northeast Cedar Rapids Tuesday night is connected to a hit-and-run investigation, according to Cedar Rapids police.

Around 7 p.m., an Iowa’s News Now reporter saw four police cruisers traveling north on Interstate 380 through downtown Cedar Rapids with lights and sirens.

The cruisers later exited near Collins Road, and multiple police units were seen around the Center Point Road and Highway 100 underpass, near the Comfort Inn and Bob Mickey Collision Center…
