CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Surgery Center Cedar Rapids is marking 25 years of providing outpatient surgical care in the community.
The center traces its beginnings to September 2001, when UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Hospital opened a freestanding ambulatory surgical department in partnership with local physicians. It became Surgery Center Cedar Rapids in 2003.
