MARION, Iowa (Iowa’s News Now) — Marion crews are responding to heavy rains and flash flooding that occurred overnight, following a week of rain. Many detention basins and waterways that are normally dry are functioning as intended.
Crews have deployed pumps in low-lying areas at 10th Street and Brockman Avenue, Northview Drive and 12th Avenue, 2nd Avenue and 12th Street, 2nd Avenue and 14th Street and 11th Street and 27th Avenue to help relieve pressure on the system.
