CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Cedar Rapids and the Iowa City Railway will receive $14.5 million in federal funding to purchase three line-haul locomotives for use in eastern Iowa.
The grant is part of $62.6 million awarded for Iowa rail projects through the Federal Railroad Administration’s Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements program.
