An Iowa City man was charged with causing hundreds of dollars in damage to a laundromat washing machine with a shovel. Police say 40-year-old Nicholas Lecnar of Clark Street was at Laundromania on East Bloomington Street. During the noon hour on January 13th, he allegedly used a shovel to hit a washing machine several times. The damage he caused reportedly cost over $1700 to fix.
