Florida State got a slap on the wrist for delivering a portal recruit to a booster collective so they could offer him money to leave Georgia for the Seminoles. And now Colorado and Deion Sanders have admitted to hosting an event that brought in seven different players who weren’t even in the portal yet. And they self-imposed a day out of the portal. It’s all crap, and nothing will ever be done, so why do I care?

Tampering with other players is rampant. Whether it’s communication with a family, ex-coach, or whoever, colleges are in constant contact with players who aren’t in the portal. Players thinking about entering the portal can gauge interest easily through second-hand parties that could easily be traced if the NCAA wanted to. But they don’t care. Heck, college football staffs are in direct contact with players on other rosters who aren’t in the portal, Proctor pretty much admitted to such.
