CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – The Cedar Rapids Fire Department responded to the 200 block of 27th St. NW just before 1pm on Sunday, for a report of smoke coming from a house. Upon arrival, crews found light smoke showing. Officials say two crew members investigated, and upon entering the house, were met by a member of the Cedar Rapids Police Department bringing an occupant out of the house. That person was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for medical assistance.
