CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – On January 26th, 2024, officials responded to the 1300 block of 1st Ave NW for a report of a disturbance. Investigators say that Charles Wheeler threatened a victim with a handgun. As the victim backed away, Wheeler aimed the gun at them and fired a round. Responders say a single shell casing was located on the back patio of the residence. Wheeler was intoxicated at the time.
