CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – On the mat, Mackenzie Childers is the voice of the Prairie Hawks; off the mat, using that voice hasn’t always been easy. “I definitely am not very comfortable (with) public speaking or interviews or anything like that, but my parents were like ‘you’ve got to do it,'” Childers, a 2023 state champion, said. “You going out there and encourage other girls to come out (for wrestling).”
