CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – On Saturday, Cedar Rapids Fire Department responded to a structure fire on the 300 block of 32nd St. Ave SE. When CRFD arrived on scene, smoke was coming from the front door of the residence. Firefighters entered through the front door of the structure where they encountered smoke on the first level and an active fire in the kitchen. The fire was extinguished, and the smoke was removed by CRFD. The occupant was not home at the time of the fire.
