The Johnson County Sheriff’s office says a Cedar Rapids woman hid from them inside an appliance when they responded to a burglary in Tiffin. Deputies responded to a break-in on West Marengo Road just before 12:45 last Wednesday afternoon. A witness claims they saw the suspect remove boards from and damaging the entryway on her way inside.
