After a record-breaking day showers and storms end with cooler weather ahead

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A cold front moves east this evening bringing a change in wind direction. Any shower and storm activity ends as the wind diminishes. Our southwest wind changes to the west-northwest on Friday which starts to usher in some cooler air. Highs that broke records in the 60s today fall into the lower 40s for the weekend.
